How can I edit the default associations in IE?

By default, Internet Explorer has various associations where applications are set to work with it.

You can change the default associations by: Go to "Tools" menu in the Internet Explorer Click on "Internet Options" and open the tab "Programs".

You will find a list of associations, there are drop down bars where you can select an alternative application, for e.g, you can change the default "HTML editor" from "Microsoft Word" to "Notepad".

Click on "Apply" and your Internet Explorer associations will be edited immediately.
